Dock Huggers
Group Class
This class is for the Huggers! Huggers are dogs who love to swim, love to retrieve a toy, and have maybe even been up and off the big dock but they can’t seem to find the confidence to really get a good launch going.
Every team is different and in this class, we will find the weak spots and turn them into strengths to become confident, powerful Jumpers!
Pre-requisites: dogs must be swimming confidently, retrieving is not an absolute but is very helpful for continuing the dock journey. Dogs must be injury-free and over 6 months of age.

In this class, we will help teams find more strength and power, get faster and more confident, and add some inches to those already stellar feet! We can troubleshoot for early take-offs, slowdowns, and uncertain throws as well as help with prepping for competition in any dock venue.
This is an excellent class for peer support and all experience levels are welcome.
Pre-requisites: dogs must be jumping with little to no hesitation; competition experience is not needed. Dogs must be injury-free, healthy, and healthy, and over 6 months of age.

Air Retrieve / Fetch It!
Seminar
This seminar will focus on the game of Air Retrieve, also called Fetch It! This iconic fixed-bumper game is a favorite event amongst competitors but is also an effective tool for increasing those distance jumps.
We will focus on getting good grabs by working the fundamentals such as striding, speed, and take off. Registration numbers will be low to ensure lots of turns and time on the dock.
Prerequisites: Beginners to the game are welcome; however, participating dogs MUST be confidently jumping off the dock. Dogs must be over 6 months of age, preferably over 1 year old, and free of injury and health issues.
Email for schedule of dates, times and fees.
If you are unsure if your dog is suitable for this seminar, please email Heather at ZingZingK9@gmail.com, and we will do our best to help you figure it out!
If you would prefer private or semi private lessons focusing on this game or any of the other ones, see “Private Lessons” or simply email: ZingZingK9@gmail.com

Dock Games
Group Class
In this class, we leave the Big Air to the skies and focus on a fixed bumper ahead of us. We will discuss, introduce, and practice speed swim games and horizontal rig games. Each class syllabus will depend on the registered roster, which could have a mix of experience and needs, but each variety of game will be practiced in each class.
Game examples: Speed Retrieve, Air Retrieve, Dueling Dogs, Hang Time, Hyrdodash, and Fetch It. Have no worries, if you have a particular game you want to work on, we will be able to help you focus on what you need. Each team will be treated fairly for wants and abilities.
Exception: ZingZingK9 does not teach or practice any vertical games so these will not be offered in this class.
Prerequisites: Beginners to the games are welcome; however, participating dogs must be confidently jumping off the dock. Dogs must be over 6 months of age, preferably over 1 year old, and free of injury and health issues.

Fitness for the Canine Athlete
Group Class
This seminar will cover strengthening and conditioning exercises for the canine athlete. Though the focus sports will be Agility and Dock Diving, dogs who participate in other sports, such as Obedience, Flyball, and Bitework, will also benefit, as there is plenty of crossover.
Handlers and dogs do not need previous experience in fitness work, and all levels are welcome. Exercises will be advanced for any teams that have already mastered the basic skillset.
The seminar will kick off with a presentation on the benefits of fitness for the canine athlete, covering the “Whys” and “Whens” of working out, then move into the “Hows” with the dogs. We will also cover warm-up and cool-down exercises by doing warm-ups at the start and cool-downs at the end. Participants will learn a variety of fitness exercises that cover all aspects of the canine athlete’s form and function, and by the end, should have a good handle on how to implement these exercises into their regular training program.
Handler/Dog teams with marker skills are encouraged to bring along their clickers, if they use them. Please bring treats your dog loves as well, keep the value high! No other equipment is needed as the club has plenty to use.
Pre-Requisites: Dogs must be over 6 months of age, healthy, and cleared for fitness exercises. This is not rehabilitation work, and neither injured nor post-op dogs may participate.
Run time: 4 hours
Location, schedule and cost will vary. If you are interested in this seminar, email Heather at: ZingZingK9@gmail.com for upcoming dates and availability.
