FitDock seminars are geared to help dock diving teams enhance their game by learning about fitness exercises that can improve the dog’s performance and help prevent injury. Though dock diving seems like a simple exercise of running and landing in water, a lot happens with each run down the dock. Every muscle works to propel a dog to full speed and the brain has to do some fancy work to help the body collect, take off, and then land safely - all while trying to catch a toy!

We will talk about some of these muscle groups that work so hard in our dock dogs and show you how to create more power, flexibility, and speed with various fitness exercises. These exercises, put into an athlete’s regular regimen will ensure not only better performance, but help keep away those pesky injuries that plague our hard-working dogs.

Registration will be limited to ensure lots of talk and lots of dock.

This five-hour seminar will be broken down into fitness work first, dock work second so please bring everything you need to make yourself and your dog comfortable - chair, shade, water, lunch/snacks etc. We will take a half-hour break in the middle for lunch.
